Our Story

John Stone was a consultant for Bain & Company where he worked on PowerPoint presentations every day. After maxing out on slides and bullet points, he left to venture out in the tech world. He co-founded PowerSchool where as an entrepreneur, he...continued to give PowerPoint presentations. After PowerSchool was acquired by Apple, he stayed on as a VP in education and...proceeded to give more presentations.

Clearly, it's a PowerPoint world and we're all living in it. But after giving so many presentations, it seemed like there should be a better way...

While PowerPoint is a great content CREATION tool, it wasn't meant to be a presentation DELIVERY solution. People just defaulted to it over time. And, even though it still works fine for some, most presenters today want to incorporate rich media in their presentations -- movies, music, images, animation, web content and streaming video. However, hitting Alt-Tab is clumsy and distracting and asking PC users to give up their PowerPoint files and abandon slide-making skills would be unfathomable.

So, Freepath was created to provide the best of both worlds for everyday presenters.

John met a couple of cool smart guys -- John Schultheiss and Lou Douros -- who had created a playlist concept to manage across PowerPoints, Word documents, PDFs and all types of rich media (from either the web or the desktop). Think iTunes but for presentations. The first version of this playlist application was initially adopted by pastors who wanted to make their sermons more engaging and inspiring. It was wildly successful and this new playlist interface became the presentation software used by over 20,000 churches. Lou and the two Johns knew this new platform was equally relevant for all presenters -- salespeople, trainers, speakers, teachers, consultants -- so they recruited engineers and product managers from Google and HP to help build this killer app.

Thanks to Freepath, you can still use your PowerPoints and enjoy them too!

Freepath's patent-pending technology has enjoyed many favorable product reviews and the company has been recognized for its innovation and leadership by Frost and Sullivan and the Golden Capital Network.

Now What?

It's time for you to tell your story. Show your stuff. Make your point. With Freepath, you can expect more from your presentations -- both the ones you give and the ones you sit through. No more boring presentations...

Freepath's easy-to-use playlist interface gives you on-demand access to your stuff in its original format. Navigate and edit in real time without the limitations and burden of converting files. Using a simple drag and drop, import or web link approach, you'll be able to spend less time preparing and more time sharing.

Freepath also improves the way you collaborate with others online. It's compatible with the popular web meeting tools such as GoToMeeting, Webex, Live Meeting and Intercall.
